One of my blogs was not displaying the latest posts in feeds. Feedburner and default feed for blog was not displaying my few latest posts. For example: http://www.blogname.com/feed/ and http://feeds2.feedburner.com/feedname/ were returning old posts. Fresh content was absent. On checking my feedburner account everything was fine. Further checking and validation gave me the following information:
Your feed appears to be encoded as “UTF-8″, but your server is reporting “US-ASCII”
So what is the solution for missing latest posts from feeds?
I read the article about encoding mismatch after validating feeds. Feeds were valid according to the result.
The problem was with the cache. I was using ‘W3Total Cache’ plugin and had not removed old cache lately. I was told by someone that do not minify feeds and disable minify feeds option from cache plugin. On emptying all the cache solved the problem and feeds started reflecting fresh content.
